USING EMPTY PP BAGS FOR CARRYING BOBBINS ??

ARE YOU STILL USING EMPTY PP BAGS FOR CARRYING BOBBINS……..IF SO ! YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE LOSS ! EVERYDAY !   

An average woven sacks industry in a single unit of 650Kgs/Hr makes around 15 MT of tape daily.

About 20 Kgs of Bobbin is carried in one empty bag , which can be Re-used maximum 3 times, before it is cut from the bottom and totally unusable.

So 15000Kgs /60Kgs  = 250 bags per day are wasted , cost of which will be ( Rs 7 of fresh Repol  bag  – Rs 2 of scrap = Rs 5 per bag ) or 250 x5 = Rs 1250 per day of bags alone OR Rs 37500/- per month

For 15000 Kgs ( Having 20 Kgs of material),  750 times material has to be carried (15000/20=750), each time the bags are carried ( Rather dragged on the floor) bottom bobbins get damaged and Loom Operators peel off couple of layers bobbins, which is MINIMUM 20gms per bobbin and in 750 bags , having 4 bobbins at the bottom with 20 gms wastage , it translates into ( 750x4x20) /1000 = 60 Kg per day of unnecessary wastage  @ Rs 50/- per Kg is Rs 3000/- per day or Rs 90000/- per month

Total wastage 37500 +90000 = 127500/- or Rs 1.25 Lacs per month

This unnecessary loss which is easily overlooked can be avoided by using crates , cost of which will be recovered within 3 months, and plant will also look “ Neat & Clean” .

In present times of competitiveness , every leakage has to be blocked ,” A penny saved is a penny earned”  Small wastage such as above can make the difference……..
